Adelaide Cardiology welcomes Dr Sam Sidharta to the practice

Samuel graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and completed his internship, medical, and cardiology training at Monash Medical Centre and Box Hill Hospital in Melbourne. He was awarded FRACP in 2012 and subsequently completed his interventional cardiology and structural heart disease intervention fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Sam recently completed his PhD study in the area of intravascular imaging, evaluating the natural history of coronary atherosclerosis progression in human coronary arteries. His research has been presented at national and international conferences. This research is supported by the prestigious AR Clarkson scholarship. He has authored and co-authored two book chapters and more than 30 abstracts and manuscripts.

He has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, coronary CT, and all aspects of interventional cardiology, especially intracoronary imaging and coronary physiology. Sam consults at the St Andrew's Medical Centre and our Leabrook, Modbury, Clare and Broken Hill Clinics.

  • The Mediterranean Diet: improvement in cardiovascular health and cognitive function
  • Cardiotoxicity of chemotherapeutic agents – recommended monitoring and management
  • Identification, diagnosis and assessment of Atrial Fibrillation
  • A review of how and when NOAC’s should be deployed in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation or those at risk for DVT
  • Haematology experts will address the role of the approved NOAC reversal agents
